The Five Habits of
Highly Innovative Leaders
Everybody loves a good list, and Forbes magazine is no exception. The business journal recently published its first list of the World's 100 Most Innovative Companies. As part of the special edition, the magazine published on its blog a list of the "five skills of disruptive innovators." Here, in no particular order, is their list of traits...
Questioning
Innovators challenge the status quo and remain open to new possibilities.
Observing
Nothing gets past the watchful eyes of top innovators. They pay attention to (and act upon) the smallest details that others might overlook.
Networking
Innovators thrive off interactions with other people. Networking allows them to gain perspectives and insights they might otherwise never see.
Experimenting
Innovators are tinkerers. They love to take things (and ideas) apart and find new ways to put them back together again.
Associational Thinking
Innovators can take seemingly disparate ideas from vastly different fields and connect them.
